If the gray and gloomy January weather has you feeling glum, we just may have the solution for you: bright and colorful eye makeup. Sometimes there’s nothing better than a cheerful pop of color across the lids — and the stars are proof. In the last two weeks multiple celebs have gone for vivid eyes and we couldn’t be more into it. From Joan Smalls in lime green to Billie Lourde in magenta eye shadow, here are four looks that prove there’s never been a better time to rock colorful eye makeup.

EmRata rocked a killer true peach lid to celebrate the golden globes on Sunday, January 7 — and she coordinated the colors on her lids with the rest of her space, particularly with her lipstick. Stylish would take it one step further: use peach lipstick as cream eye shadow to give the look an ultra-cool vibe.

The American Horror Story star stepped out in a feathered Adam Selman number and perfect magenta lids to match. Best part? She kept the rest of her face pared down to keep the focus on her eyes and her killer frock.

Green eye shadow should be a hard sell, but Smalls makes it look easy breezy. The soft wash of seafoam (which is gently winged) makes her eyes stand out and it also coordinates with her jade necklace and olive swimsuit.
